GICOMA

Project

The website for GICOMA (Gifu Collection of Modern Arts) was fully redesigned around its artworks and exhibition spaces. BIRTHDeY reorganized exhibitions, events, facilities and visitor information, built the WordPress publishing system, photographed the museum, and created the main English pages.

A restrained design around the work

The interface uses a quiet white base, careful typography and generous space so that artworks and exhibition photography remain the focus while the museum can still carry a large amount of information.

One publishing system for exhibitions and events

Exhibitions and events are managed in WordPress and connected to both archive views and the calendar, reducing repeated updates while keeping current and past information organized.

Different facilities, one information structure

Several museum spaces, visitor information, access details and editorial content were brought into one structure so visitors can move between them without losing context.

The same core information in English

Key pages were translated and built in English for international visitors, including translation, English Review and implementation rather than relying on automated page translation.
