Project
Nagahama is a Japanese restaurant in Gifu serving regional Hida cuisine. BIRTHDeY designed and developed the website and created the English pages for overseas visitors, including translation of the restaurant concept, menus and explanations of dishes that may be unfamiliar outside Japan.
One flow from atmosphere to practical information
The restaurant concept, lunch and dinner menus, regional dishes, courses and seating information are organized into one long page led by photography.
A large menu made easier to browse
Dish names, prices, descriptions and photography are organized by category so a large amount of menu information remains readable.
Explaining regional food in English
The English version adds context where a direct translation would not be enough, including explanations of local dishes and how they are served.
