Project
For long-established Gifu lantern maker OZEKI, BIRTHDeY handled front-end development and the English website. Japanese content covering Gifu lanterns, AKARI, products and company history was translated, reviewed in English and implemented across the site.
Building the supplied design into a working website
Front-end development covered the home page, products, brands and company information, with layouts adjusted for both desktop and mobile across a content-rich site.
Translating more than product names
The English work includes the history, techniques and cultural background of Gifu lantern making, with English Review before implementation.
Company history and products in the same English experience
The English site also covers OZEKI’s history since 1891 and lighting developed with designers in Japan and abroad, making the company and its products easier to understand from overseas.
